Lessons
We Speak German offers German language lessons for children of preschool and primary school age in an engaging and fun environment. My teaching approach is practical: learn first words and phrases through songs, rhymes and play activities, listen to and use the German language while drawing a picture or playing board games. Through these activities the vocabulary grows and the correct grammar is learned along the way by using the language. Fun activities and using the German language from the very beginning are at core of our lessons.
PlayingChildren learn a language through play activities including songs and rhymes, arts & crafts, card or dice games or physical activities.

I was born in Rostock, Germany (Eastern Germany or GDR, back then) and have enjoyed living by the Baltic Sea. In 2001, a week after receiving my Masters Degree in Education and Sociology, I stepped on that plane that would bring me to the West of Ireland, a place where I now still live and work and raise our children. My journey with languages began at the age of 9, and they have never left me since. I started with learning Russian at school, followed by English. At some point I added some basic French and also started with Spanish. Knowing even just a few basic words never hurt anyone, right?! I even considered studying English/Linguistics, but to be honest, I believe, no matter what subject you study, as long as you keep learning, you'll always move forward, personally and/or professionally. My own experiences and education have led me to this place where I can now help and support others with their journey of learning languages, and German in particular.
